Our story starts in Lodi in 1947, the year in which three young undergraduates in their final year at the University of Milan decided to become cheesemakers. Inside their father's farm buildings they organized their first dairy in order to transform their own milk and the milk of the surrounding farms into cheese. The idea was an instant success.
In 1958 the second brother, Giovanni Pozzali, who was an architect, opened the new dairy at Casaletto Ceredano (Cr) just a few miles away from Lodi. In the 1990s the company had become Lodigrana, grew and diversified until the cheese was launched that transformed this family history in flavour: Bella Lodi, a sincere tribute to the thousand years’ history of the Lodi area.
